I’m Michael Monroe, owner of 206 Rooms. 

We are a small, family-owned residential real estate investment company that specializes in providing budget-friendly room rentals for Seattle residents. 

My business partner Jamie and I are born-and-raised Seattle residents, and we’re passionate about directly managing our own properties. That’s right: we don’t work for some big, stuffy corporation. We’re just private property owners that provide affordable housing in an otherwise expensive city. 

When we first started out in 1998, we saw a need for simple, efficient housing accommodations without the unnecessary amenities. 

We believed if we could make renting easier, simpler, and more affordable, we’d be successful. And, here we are, more than 20 years later, continuing to deliver on our promise of renting clean, well-managed and conveniently located rooms for students, working professionals, and people new to Seattle.
